This was written for the R/S Kink 2013 challenge. The prompt was: remus / sirius sexy skype call while one is on a mission for the order [this is obviously a modern au] i dont care who gets naked but it’s gotta happen
So here you have it: An AU set during the summer/autumn of 2013 – which here is the summer after OotP. Oh, and Sirius definitely survived the battle at the Ministry.
Rated M for excessively naughty language, irresponsible use of alcoholic beverages, and lots of smut.

James takes a sip of lemonade, taking his role as designated driver very seriously as always. He has a smudge of dirt on his nose from ‘wrestling a conifer the size of a bear’, but Sirius doesn’t think to mention it because he’s somewhat preoccupied with his own problems, which, for the avoidance of doubt, are many and insurmountable.
“Your face?”
“Yes, exactly! It’ll give me away the second he sees me. He’ll know right away that eight bloody years has done nothing at all to dampen it down. Dripping with hurt. As if I don’t still feel-”

Canon-compliant. Classic-era. Trying to bring back the mid-2000's vibe with some seriousness of being an adult shinobi that you can feel from the KakaIru doujinshis published at that time.
Kakashi is targeted for revenge, which results in Iruka being injured whilst on their joint mission. The last on-field mission Iruka ever took before he chose to become an Academy instructor.
Kakashi starts to notice little things about Iruka and thinks he's just what Naruto needs in a responsible adult. Iruka starts to notice Kakashi stalking him, but isn't quite sure how to go about it.
