This is an AU of sorts, when Sarah was choosing her specialties she still put Pathology as her number one choice, but she also put Emergency medicine and Neurology, and when she decided she didn't want to do pathology she didn't have to quit the program because she was accepted into all three, and decided to have two specialties; ED and Neuro.

PTSD is a word that rattles around her head the same way hypoxia does. She knew about it, learned about it, thought about it, and now that it’s here, in her world, she has to deal with it. But words in concept are always so vastly different from the actual thing itself. Knowing about hypoxia didn’t help Jemma much in application, and now, knowing the symptoms of PTSD did not make it easier to deal with them.
