Summary
A gruesome murder takes place in London. On a cold autumn night, the bodies of two women resurface in the canal, tied together in an eternal embrace. One has the face of an angel. The other, a stake through her heart.
Jonathan Reid and Geoffrey McCullum are brought to help with the investigations.
"We are in over our head here, gentlemen." Chief of Police Paul Tillman is not happy to admit. Neither Geoffrey nor Jonathan are happy to be there either, but they will have to work together if they want to get to the bottom of this.

A Criminal Investigation story that takes place in the aftermath of the game's events (bad ending). This story is pretty dark, but I really enjoyed writing it. It is also part of my NaNoWriMo project for 2018, so it is already finished and just needs some polishing to be posted (along with other two pieces I'm posting atm and a few more to come).The title comes from the LP song Muddy Waters. You should all listen to it because it is AMAZING.

Summary
After the unfortunate series of events that led to Lady Elisabeth Ashbury's demise and the subsequente return of Jonathan Reid to London with his metaphorical tail between his legs, the good doctor moves back into his childhoood home and spends most of his free time in the company of his mother, which is precisely how he ends up in the charity event during which a Night on the Town, in the company of a very familiar vampire hunter, is being auctioned.
"That man-" Emelyne Reid asks. "Do you know him?"
"Yes, he’s… a friend," Jonathan quietly explains.
"Oh? We should bid on him, then," she replies, raising her paddle with a giggle before Jonathan can tell her otherwise. The auction caller acknowledges their bid, confirming the increment, and she sighs, "Oh, this is fun. Isn’t this fun, Jonny?"
Jonathan is not inclined to agree, but doesn't have the heart to contradict her either.
Fair warning, I've taken some liberties with the game's lore in order to make the dinner from chapter 2 work, so bear with me

Whether the article actually helps him or not turns out not to matter very much, as these things tend to sort themselves out.

Summary
Patients are prone to develop crushes on their attending doctors. It happens. And Dr. Reid, with the face and the beard and the spine-melting voice, is more than used to that predicament, especially with women.
Geoffrey McCullum is always getting hurt beyond the Guard’s ability to fix him and, after a month working at Pembroke Hospital, Jonathan sees the doctor-patient crush situation rapidly taking an unexpected turn. It is not as bad as one would expect.

Summary
On a bleak London evening, Geoffrey McCullum comes across a smoking Jonathan Reid - smoking in the sense that he has a cigarette in his hands and Geoffrey would really like one of those.
"Do you have another one?" He asks. Very softly, Jonathan replies:
"No, but I'll roll you one."
Of fucking course he rolls his own cigarettes, Geoffrey thinks as he stares in fascination at long elegant fingers moving with swift practised movements - paper, filter, tobacco. As he accepts the cigarette, the hunter wants only to punch himself in the face because the only thing he can think is, oh, Jonathan has really beautiful hands.
It is the second time he sees him that evening, though, the first one being when Charlotte Ashbury left the Reid mansion with rushed footsteps yelling at the doctor to go fuck himself. So, yeah, Geoffrey still kind of wants to know what that was all about.Bookmarked by lemonad3tree

"Look, you're new," Hank says. "And you're the first android we've had on our payroll. Jeff wanted you back really badly, and so did I, but that doesn't mean other people aren't going to be assholes to you."
Connor's brow pinches together. "Everyone knows we were partners before. They know we're friends."
"That's not really what I..." Hank starts, but then he cuts himself off. "Look, you haven't been around for a few months. It's enough time for rumors to take hold, and you have enough stacked against you anyway that we don't need to feed any of that bullshit...okay?"
Connor runs a small process on the side to determine likely options for what Hank is telling him, although he thinks he already knows. Hank is uncomfortable mentioning it, and rumors tend to be about illicit activities, and it would have to be regarding something Connor might have done that would make Hank favor him at work.
And he really wasn't expecting to have anyone speculating that he and Hank might be sexually involved, but it doesn't entirely bother him. It's...interesting.

Connor doesn't always know where he belongs or where his home is after the revolution, but he thinks he knows where he'd like to be.

The large merman grins almostly wickledy behind his mask. “You can call me Hank, by the way,” he says. “Suppose we’re in this shit show together now, huh?”
Connor doesn’t know if he’s ever heard that phrase before and files it away for later. “You have a peculiar way of speaking,” he says, but Hank seems unbothered by it, blinking indifferently. “If you’re imprisoned,” Connor tries again, “where was it they took you from?”
“The Big O,” Hank says, obviously trying to be funny even though Connor doesn’t quite know what he means. He doesn’t think this situation is funny at all.
“Where’s that?” he asks, and Hank laughs outright in a rush this time.
“The ocean,” he says, incredulous. “Where else?”
