Summary
Spencer Reid is finally where he wants to be; he has a meaningful job, his own book-crammed apartment and friends that actually like him despite his quirks. His life isn’t perfect but he’s happier than he has ever been. That is, until his past catches up with him, messing everything up again. Things he would’ve preferred to keep hidden come to light and while his team frantically searches for the man who’s after their youngest member, Spencer is forced to spend a lot more time in close proximity of his best friend and (very straight) work crush, Derek Morgan, than what could possibly be good for him…

“I have an idea,” A voice, cracky and small, just starting to deepen, speaks from behind Luke.
He turns to see Grogu, who is looking directly at his father. Mando seems to already know the implication, and gives him an expression that even Luke can detect as 'Don’t you dare.'
Grogu, ever the rebel, ignores it, and says, “I think I want a birthday trip.”or
Luke Skywalker would do anything to get to his sister in New York, including hitchhiking a 30 hour drive with a handsome mechanic and his son.

“We need to agree to some ground rules. How this is all going to work.”
“Are you going to bill me for drawing up the contract?” Din needles,
“No. We can't have any evidence of… this.” Luke levels a look at him. “You know we're going to have to lie to everyone, right? I don't want to get caught up trying to remember who knows the truth and who doesn't. Can you do that?”
“Can you?” Din counters, “-your sister won't be able to tell?”
“...she has her hands full with my nephew,” Luke says,
Din snorts.
“What?”
“Are you prepared for everyone at the office thinking we're together?”
“Why is that funny? This was your idea!"
“I know, I'm fine with it." Din says "-Just looking forward to you getting read the riot act by Kenobi, that's all.”

Because the Universe thinks it's funny, Luke and his colleague, Mando, are both going to the same wedding. And because the Universe has decided it's pursuing a career in comedy, they both have their own reasons for needing a date to it.
The most logical course of action, obviously, is that they pretend to be dating and attend together.

Summary
Admittedly, this is not the first time Luke has wound up at someone else’s kitchen table in someone else’s clothes. But it’s not breakfast, Luke’s not an undergrad scarfing down bacon and eggs to cure the common hangover, and Din doesn’t strike him as the kind of guy he’d meet at a house party. The baby is definitely a first.
Luke is a grad student trying to finish his linguistics PhD after an unexpected leave of absence. His neighbor, Din, is a single dad and delivery guy at Pizza Parsec.
(Actually, Pizza Parsec is just a front for the bounty hunters' guild. But Luke doesn't need to know that.)
