But that was the entire problem…Katsuki rarely seemed to know where he went wrong, not until a screaming match ensued. Sometimes insults were thrown, the kind meant to hurt, to stab and twist the knife just to get the wanted reaction. But Izuku was tired of those kinds of conversations. “I think we should take a break.”

“Here’s the happy couple!” Oh, that agitating voice. “A little birdie told me that boys wonder had broken up, and I just had to see for myself. But apparently that was wrong.”
The pair spin around in their stools to begrudgingly watch Monoma stroll over like he owns the place. Katsuki has at least some respect for the hero, especially after everything that he had to witness during the battle with Shigaraki, but he definitely doesn’t like the man. And he has no interest in entertaining his curiosity about his love life.
Apparently, though, his love life disagrees.
“Hi, Monoma.” Izuku starts. “We did break up, not that it’s any of your business.”
Katsuki is not sure why he felt the need to share that particular piece of business with their old classmate, who’s looking increasingly more smug at Katsuki’s visible irritation.
“Oh?” He questions mockingly. “Well, do tell? What happened? What could have possibly torn you two apart? Who did the breaking up? The people are dying to know.”
Sigh. Answer one question, and hopefully he’ll fuck off.
“He did.”
“He did.”What?
