Hazel swings around from where she was already mounting the stairs. “Whoops, my bad. Is your knee okay?” It takes her a few seconds to catch onto what PJ just said. “I mean, yeah? Why not? We all know Mr. G is gonna forget about the test the moment we walk into class, and even if he doesn’t, we know why women in the 21st century suck.”
PJ nods her head dutifully. “Because you can’t turn a hoe into a housewife.”
Hazel clicks her tongue and throws her a thumbs up. She gestures upwards and takes the stairs three at a time. “Bathrooms this way!”
