Leon doesn't seem upset, though, leaning back against the stone baluster with a contemplative look. "Hmm. No, it's okay. Actually, it might solve our problems if people do think that."
"If people think… we're together?" The words feel strange in his mouth, almost expecting to be slapped for even thinking about it, but Leon nods slowly.
"I mean, would save us the trouble of inventing any fake spouses, you know? And this line of work doesn't leave much space for a relationship outside of it anyway. It makes sense, don't you think?"
God, does it make sense. If only Leon knew how often and thoroughly Chris had considered that it made sense. Well, perhaps it's still better he doesn't know. "Yes." Chris's voice comes out raspy, and he clears his throat and tries again. "Yes, it makes sense."

In the spring of 1944, the 104th Medical Battalion of the United States Army is disbanded, and its men reassigned to various infantry companies in preparation for their invasion of occupied France. For First Lieutenant Novak, this is less than helpful, as he has so far met his platoon’s designated medic a grand total of twice, and has both times found Sergeant Winchester to be the optimum combination of reckless, arrogant, and downright insufferable so as to make cohesive platoon function near impossible. Summary
Ben became a hunter only a couple of years ago, after a traumatic event that turned his life upside down. And yes, he might not be very good at it (yet), but he's trying his best.
So when his new friend Claire invites him to meet a few of her hunter friends, he's secretly happy to expand his little network. And of course, everyone has heard a thing or two about the famous Winchester brothers, so that's a plus.The only problem is that one of the Winchesters, Dean, doesn't look exactly thrilled to meet him. The guy looks at Ben as if he was a ghost (and when you're a hunter, that's saying something). Apparently, the angel by Dean's side doesn't seem to be a fan either.
Now Ben cannot, for the life of him, figure out what the hell did he do to piss off an angel and a freaking Winchester, and he isn't sure he wants to find out.

‘Shit,’ Steve says, takes a single step back, swallows. ‘Eddie, I’m so sorry, fuck.’
Eddie can’t seem to look away, can’t bring his ethereal gaze back up where it belongs. Steve thinks he should run, he should flee. A tiny part of him knows Eddie will chase him. Eddie will catch him, outrun him easily.
It's more than a little fucked up how that thrills him.

It stops the playful atmosphere instantly.
Not everyone tells him when they have a Memento. Lucas had kept to himself, and Will had refused to tell Steve about his dream. Some of them just tell him, softly, I remembered number one-seventy-three, or I had a Memento, last night. Sometimes it’s easier to just mention that it happened, acknowledge it and move on.
And Robin, for the most part, had done this. She hadn’t mentioned the details, because she’s sure that Steve is tired of hearing them, doesn’t want to hear his death from another person’s eyes, another person who is left with his body for a day before the loop dissolves into nothingness.
AKA: In the aftermath of it all, when Steve is learning what happiness means for him, people start to remember his deaths.

For over six months, after Hawkins and the Upside Down merge, Steve Harrington is plagued by nightmares. Vines choking him, Eddie dying, and a host of other nighttime horrors. It all changes one night in October 1986 when, instead of the Creel House or the trailer park, Steve dreams about a warm spring day at Skull Rock featuring one very familiar metalhead.
Sure, his subconscious' version of Eddie Munson makes some weird comments about being alive in the Upside Down sometimes, but that's just his brain's way of coping with Eddie's death ... Right?
