“You’re asking to be my date?” Goro finally manages to say, and Kurusu shrugs yet again in response.
“Sure, if that’s what you want to call it.”
Her eyes narrow. “You’d have no business being there.”
Pushing herself up, Kurusu crosses her arms and casually leans her hip against the countertop. “I’m just a friend from school who you decided to bring to the event with you. If you don’t want to do it, that’s fine. I just figured I’d offer.”

Goro Akechi is trying her best not to crack under the mounting pressure as she manages top scores as a high school student, maintains her image as a perfect female celebrity, and moonlights as a teenage assassin. “We could try something,” Wallace said. “But you’re going to think it’s pretty gay.”
Scott couldn’t help but laugh a little at that, and some of the tension seemed to leave Wallace’s face as well. “Try me,” Scott said goodnaturedly.
“There’s this thing called shotgunning,” Wallace said. “Pretty much, one person breathes in a hit, and then, they breathe out the secondhand into the other person’s mouth. It’s less harsh after it’s been in someone else’s lungs, in my experience.”
That didn’t sound incredibly gay to Scott. Sure, a little, especially if the lips touched, but really, it was smart—weed could get expensive, Scott imagined, and that’s a two-for-one deal. Twice the amount of high people. Genius, really.
So, he said so: “Makes sense. That’s just practical.”
Wallace’s eyebrows, though mostly obscured by his bangs, absolutely raised. “I’m glad you think so,” he said slowly.

Summary
Goro was a bloodthirsty demon, with a penchant for ruining the lives of those unfortunate enough to try and summon him. Every person who had formed a contract with the demon would meet their end at the behest of Goro's claws and fangs.
That is, until he got summoned by a college student hoping to delay his essay deadline.
