“I wish I was like you sometimes,” he tells Techno one evening, when the dishes have been washed and the curtains have been drawn and the lamp in the corner of the living room is on. Techno looks up from his book.
“Really?” he says, fingers flicking the pages.
“Yeah,” Tommy says, sprawled across the couch on his belly with his arms under his chin. “You know things.”
Techno considers him for a moment. “I guess so. You know things, too.”
“Maybe.” Tommy thinks of library shelves and creeping vines trailing up windows. He thinks of candles and paper and soft things. “Maybe.”~~~~~~~~~~
Or; Summer comes, and Tommy floats.

I dont know what to say... This work reads like poetry. It wraps around your gut and squeezes. It burries its meaning deep in your chest. At the same time it keeps you safe and warm like a weighted blanket on a cold night. Even more so its a hug written into a story. A hug that holds you together when everything is falling apart.

Summary
“Every night, the sunset- the sun- whatever- it dies. And everyone just accepts it, and it's gone so easily. And by the time the next day comes there's a new sun which will also die as soon as its hours are up- it's just so easily replaced.”
There was a passion in his voice that Techno hadn’t heard in a long time, a desperation poorly hidden beneath it.
“It's still the same sun,” Techno answered softly. “It's always setting somewhere, and it's always rising opposite that, and yes, it may look different, live longer, die sooner- but it's still the same sun.”
