“Smile.”
Jonas gave him a look. “Now?”
“Always.”
The camera clicked. Tadej didn’t show the picture. Just tucked it away and said, “You always look soft in the snow.”
Jonas flushed faintly. “You’re such a sap.”

Summary
His nose was stuffy, his head ached, and when he tried to sit up, a wave of dizziness made him flop right back down. The blanket suddenly felt too heavy, like it was pinning him in place — and worse, he could already hear the familiar clatter of dishes from the kitchen.
He groaned.
“Tadej,” he croaked, voice like sandpaper. “Don’t come in here.”
Naturally, the door opened a second later.

“Don’t be such a grump,” Tadej teased, pulling open a rack. “Besides, this is vintage. It’s cool now. Look!” Tadej declared, holding up a sequined vest. “This is treasure.”
“That,” Jonas said, “is unwearable.”

Summary
The call comes just as Jonas is halfway through drying the dishes, hands still damp and smelling faintly of lemon soap. Tadej’s phone vibrates loudly on the counter — "Mama" flashing in big, affectionate letters.
“Answer that,” Tadej says from the kitchen table, still half-buried in notes and highlighters. “If I don’t, she’ll call three more times.”
Jonas freezes mid-wipe. “Me?”
“You’re closer.”
“But—” he glances at the screen like it might bite him— “I’ll be weird.”
“You’re not weird.”
“She speaks Slovenian.”
Tadej raises a brow. “So do I.”
Jonas glares half-heartedly, but the phone is already ringing for the fourth time.
With a resigned sigh, he taps accept.

“You’re not,” Tadej said gently, reaching across the table to squeeze Jonas’s hand. “You’re trying. That’s more than most people do.”
Jonas exhaled. “I just hate not understanding anything. It’s like being underwater.”
“You’ll learn,” Tadej said. “Start with food. That’s the best way.”

"It's... it's not good," Harry tells them lowly. "They've given him a month's time, only."
There is so much he needs to explain, but his head is foggy and exhausted and he can't think properly, can't think of how to relay all that he's learned.
"Have you heard of Alucinatio?" is what he starts with.
"The Daydream potion," Hermione says. "The person who intakes it experiences very vivid and realistic daydreams of all they could ever want, but is essentially in a severely catatonic state out in the external world, incapable of any basic functions."
Harry nods. "Somebody's given it to Malfoy." He remembers the tattered remains of a black cloak wrapped around Malfoy. "I think it might have been Professor Snape."
They take a minute to process that.
"And... the cure?" Ron asks.
"Tears of anyone the experiencer craves love of," Hermione answers.

The new icons have a flatter and cleaner look than the original ones and are available in three color versions: default, berry blue (matched to Reversi), and pink. They can also be changed to any color you like!
