Still, it was hard to put the memory of Connor to rest when his face kept splashing across the front page. He had a brilliant smile that rivaled the sun. Much better than his new fiancé’s smug-yet-somehow-sour grin.

    Hank’s concern for Connor morphed into wary surveillance after husband number two turned up dead less than two weeks after the wedding.
