“Oh fuck’s sake.” he rolled his eyes, patience running thin “We're not together that often.”After a rather turbulent past, Jinx and Ekko find their way to each other again. Joined at the hip, except- there's this weird tension in the room whenever they're close, which is a bit of an issue, considering they're roommates. Now, it's going to take a lot more restraint to not slip up, because she doesn't think she's good enough, and he seems determined to prove her wrong and save her.
Attention, fame- it seems to chase them, more people get involved, feelings grow and hearts are bound to break as their almost possessive, damn near unhealthy dynamic, is tested. She can't be good for him, that much is clear, so why the hell can't he seem to keep his hands away from her?And why the hell, is there a tiny kid sitting on his living room couch?
Now, they're more intertwined than ever. Everywhere he turns, he's engulfed in blue- her essence, taunting, luring him in. The siren's call is irresistible. She's chaos and trouble, and fuck.. he craves the thrill.

Jinx grasped his broad shoulders in her hands. “Listen to me!” She hissed and he swallowed, eyes wide open. She knew she must've looked deranged, her eyes were effortlessly analyzing every inch of his face. Her grip on his shoulder tightened, like holding onto him would ground her spiraling free thoughts. “I need you to pretend you're my boyfriend. Just for tonight,” Somehow, his eyes kept getting wider and wider. His gaze softened to complete disbelief.
“Is this a joke?”

Jinx is being bothered nonstop by a guy during a party. Men don't usually listen to women, but they do listen to men, so Jinx finds herself asking the only other familiar face around a favour. Ekko enters a fake relationship with Jinx to avoid sticky situations. It was supposed to last only one night, but things get out of control and leads up to unexpected real sparks between them.

Summary
Everyone leaves.
When all the chips are down, and all the dust settles, everyone leaves. Maybe they don’t want to. Maybe they’re torn away by things outside of their control, by the movement of the city. Or maybe you push them away, play chicken for too long and scare them off, or make it too expensive for them to stay. Because you can’t believe they’ll be there if they aren’t willing to give everything.
Or maybe you just…drift. Spend a little less time with someone, swept away in time like the gutter trash in a rainstorm. And then you look back, and they’re so far away you’re not even sure if you can recognize them anymore.
But maybe you blink. You look away and mourn that bond, feel it turn bitter and acidic in the back of your throat, and you look back and there they are. Their eyes are looking at you like you’re the most important thing in the world, like they can’t believe that you wound up here like this with them, with so much space, so much pain and bitterness. And then you can choose whether you can stomach it. Whether you can trust them back in.
She let him in.
