Summary
Once, Viktor saw it happen, an alpha catching its omega. He was sixteen, watching the sunset from his backyard, when he saw them. The omega sprinted through the tall grass, ducking and weaving to avoid the alpha's outstretched claws, but when they tripped on an overgrown root, it was over.
The alpha mounted them right there, directly in Viktor's line of vision, fucking their omega like it was their only purpose in life. Despite sitting fifty yards away, Viktor could hear it — the lewd squelches and shrieking moans from the omega and the vibrating growls from the alpha. It sounded painful, terrifying.
"You smell scared, little one."

Summary
Emberflit Alley is as unappealing as always: damp, dark, and far too narrow for Jayce’s wings. He supposes there aren’t as many avians in Zaun, but it doesn’t stop the agitated rustle of his feathers. He would turn tail and retreat to his house if not for his current predicament: Viktor’s been missing for weeks, so Jayce is in this dingy swamp because he’s looking for the Machine Herald. Secretly. And for purely logical Defender of Tomorrow duty-related reasons, of course.
Or: Viktor and Jayce engage in unconventional bird courtship with much misunderstanding and bickering involved.
