Summary
Frank's rambling was cut off by Ray's thigh sliding up in between his own legs, warm and heavy, instantly shutting him up. His cheeks flushed red, and he looked at Ray in shock. Ray acted on instinct and pressed his thigh up against Frank’s center, lifting him up against the wall until he was effectively trapped in between Ray and the wall with nowhere to go.
Ray leaned in, and one of his brown curls brushed Frank's cheek as he opened his mouth to speak.
"Listen to me. Stop complaining about this damn riff, or put that mouth to better use."

Summary
In 1689, Hob Gadling and Dream meet once more, after Hob has lost everything. That night, their meeting goes on longer than expected when the conversation turns to what it means to live, to lose, and to be the fathers of dead sons. Unable to bear the thought of sending a man who so echoes Dream's own grief back into the night alone, Dream breaks his own rule and invites Hob to stay with him for a time, at least until he can get back on his feet.
The story of two grief-stricken, divorced, and widowed fathers to sons they lost too young truly seeing one another and there, at their lowest point, doing their best to put themselves and each other back together.
In the upcoming sequel, "Keeping Sanctuary" we follow Hob and Dream from 1690 to the modern era, and see how a small change to one centennial meeting would alter their lives forever.
