Summary
He’s seen bombs go off with less messy aftermaths.
Every single surface, including the ceiling, is covered in powdery sprays of castoff flour. Eggshells, empty of their contents, lay like so many corpses on one counter, while batter and other substances congeal on the remaining three. Metal racks keep delicate pizzelles, madeleines, palmiers, macarons, and mille-feuille hovering above the mess as they cool.
And in the center of it all, form suspended in mid-air and glowing red with For The Tainted Sorrow, is Chuuya.

Summary
Chuuya knows to expect a difficult mission at the very least when he is summoned to Mori's office one day. He isn't surprised to find Kouyou and Dazai already there, looking as if they were having a pleasant chat over a cup of tea. But the matter at hand is the retrieval of a sensitive piece of data; a job requiring a certain degree of delicacy. It's only when Dazai allows himself to be spirited away by a sleazy business man that Chuuya understands what type of delicacy Mori meant.
Or: shortly after Chuuya joins Portmafia he finds himself in the middle of a metaphorical chessgame between Mori, Kouyou, and Dazai. And for all that Chuuya isn't a chess person, he demands to have a say in what games he's used as pawn in.

Summary
The first time Nakahara Chuuya steps between Dazai Osamu and a potentially fatal bullet, he's fifteen and doing it because Mori'd have his head if Dazai gets himself killed. Nearly ten years later, Chuuya finds himself surprisingly protective of his former partner, but for a different set of reasons.

Summary
Everything that could possibly go wrong during their first official mission together as partners goes wrong. Stuck in a cabin in the middle of the forest, they're both wet and muddy and Chuuya is so pissed he's going to have to strip a barely conscious Dazai to make sure he doesn't freeze.
He's not prepared for the amount of bandages Dazai is hiding under his clothes.
This is a boundary Chuuya is not prepared to cross. He doesn't know Dazai, no matter how much they yell and gripe at each other.
This is beyond private and something he's not allowed to see.

Summary
For a moment, a foolish split-second, Dazai almost wants to kiss him. Almost does. He comes so close, in fact, that in leaning forward he puts Chuuya under the impression he's about to pass out.
"Chuuya . . ." Dazai mumbles, his voice trailing off as the distance closes.
He slumps into Chuuya's chest, all energy he mistakenly thought he had absolutely gone in the moment.

“That’s not funny,” he chides his boyfriend, not unkindly.
He’s sure Suho isn’t being mean on purpose, probably doesn’t even see the harm in his words. But it is a bit disconcerting that he so eagerly sheds his usual honesty just to say something he evidently believes Sieun wanted to hear.
