Minho grins widely and his tongue pokes out from between his front teeth, and Jisung can see that it’s blue from some sort of candy, “I was the main character before I even got here.”
“Main character of what, the Bible?” Jisung snorts, looking back down at his textbook and running his fingers over the glossy title.
“The Bible,” Minho says while staring above Jisung’s head, nodding to himself like he’s weighing a list of pros and cons, “That’s good. I like it.” -

“Snow is my least favorite,” Changbin breaks the silence. It’s not exactly awkward, but it is suffocating, and it feels like all of the oxygen in the cafe has been frozen by the storm. His shoulders hurt from tensing up.
“I thought you liked it,” Hyunjin points out, and he’s right. The last time they spoke, Changbin was a fan of snowstorms and winter nights.
“Not anymore,” he admits, and he winces at the memory of his harsh actions and harsher words. He has regrets.

His face feels warm, maybe even red enough to rival his Ladybug costume, and he’s sure that his eyes are ridiculously wide underneath his mask.
Hyunjin slaps Jisung on the arm as hard as he can, making a loud smack as his gloved hand makes contact with the purple witch cloak.
“Fucking ow!” Jisung hisses, immediately clapping a hand over where he had been assaulted, “What the fuck?”
“You didn’t tell me Seo Changbin would be here!” Hyunjin screeches, his fists clenching into tiny balls of fury before he punches Jisung again. -

"He goes to another school," Hyunjin lied through the most uncomfortable smile he had ever worn.
"Right." Jisung deadpanned while Minho cackled into a pillow.
Hyunjin finds himself caught in a quickly unraveling lie when he has to come up with a reason for his friends to stop trying to set him up with every guy that breathes in his direction. It's not that he needs a fake boyfriend (he has a very real, very handsome one), he just can't tell them about Changbin without breaking a very important promise. It all gets a lot more complicated for him when he shows up to Bestie Movie Night and finds Changbin sitting in his spot on Jisung and Minho's couch.

Hyunjin turned his head to the left and right and then tilted his head at Changbin, pink tongue hanging out of his mouth, glistening with saliva. “How does it look, hyung?”
Changbin blinked. Felt all the blood rush away from his brain. “It looks good,” he said and sent a fervent thanks up to whatever was in the sky that his voice came out steady. Simple. The perfect picture of a supportive boyfriend. He was so normal.

“Ha!” The boy’s friend crows. “Get it, Hyunjin!” He now has a name. A pretty name for a pretty boy, Changbin thinks idly.
Hyunjin flushes, but grins awkwardly in Changbin’s direction. He clambers up, stumbling a little bit on his friends leg as he walks over to where Changbin sits on the couch. He crouches in front of Changbin. “Hi.” He says.
“Hey.” Changbin’s brain short circuits when the boy laughs.
“I’m going to kiss you now.”
Dumbly, Changbin nods. “Okay.”
