Would Harry always argue that it's potterluck that he ended up in the marauder era of Hogwarts? Most definitely and not due to his own actions. Would he also argue that he's far too old to go back to school and endure teenagers in puberty? Even more so but thanks to a far less worn down Dumbledore and his sense of whimsy Harry gets to not just experience history but be smack dab in the middle of it. At last he met a handsome stranger in a bar to get him through his misery, who keeps coming back for more. No last name, but that couldn't be a problem, could it? After all, it's just sex.

The buzzing stopped. Something screaming in Buck’s brain tilted and swayed before tipping over and opening his mouth before he could grab a hold of it and set it right.
“I’m getting a divorce!” Is what spills out.
Silence. Dead air. All eyes swivel to look at him and Buck is seven, ten, thirteen and jumping in front of his big sister’s bullet.
So - the thing is, Buck is not getting a divorce. Buck is not married. Buck is not in a relationship. Buck’s mouth is opening again against his will.
“I’m getting a divorce,” he doubles down.

This fic came to me in a flu-curated fever dream inspired by the Adam Sandler rom com Just Go With It. I do not enjoy Adam Sandler films, unless I am feverish when they become the only thing I am willing to watch. I do not understand this phenomenon either.
Also this is a canon divergence au in the sense that I cannot remember the overarching plot points of the arcs I am playing with. I can’t even remember what season Boston is from. Just go with it?

Summary
The Brackens are a respectable family that live in a respectable house on a respectable street. The kitchen is always pristine, the garden neatly manicured, and the brass door knocker polished so frequently you could use it as a mirror. Their lives are the very definition of suburban bliss.
That is, until the Blackwoods move in next door, with their drunken partying, loud squabbling, and tendency to blare heavy metal music in the early hours of the morning.
After a storm blows down the fence that separates their gardens, both households immediately begin arguing over who should pay for the replacement. A series of disused patio stones are used to demarcate the boundary between their properties in the meantime, with both families threatening retribution should the other dare to tamper with the stones. It takes precisely twenty-four hours before Amos Bracken wakes up to discover that the stones have seemingly rolled themselves a further four feet over onto his side.
