“No.”
Atsumu glances at the bed, noting the sliver of Kiyoomi’s ear tuft poking out from under the comforter. He abandons his peacocking in front of the mirror to climb onto the bed, joining Kiyoomi under the covers. “Well, if you’re not gonna take a closer look, I am.”
On their trek back into town to restock supplies, MSBY 4 get hit with a prank spell that gives them animal ears and tails.

Kiyoomi buries his face in both of his hands, peeking through his fingers when Atsumu cackles. “It’s not funny, I was miserable.”
“Ya were,” Atsumu says, like that’s the best part of it.

“...I guess I usually see him coming right off the train,” Atsumu mused.
“Yer a dumbass,” Osamu spat, exasperated. “Of course you don’t know how hot he is, no one looks good when they’re miserable.”
Atsumu thought of Sakusa Kiyoomi, who looked pretty damn good and pretty damn miserable most of the time, and frowned.
Or, the time that Akaashi single-handedly saved Atsumu’s life, evening, and romantic prospects with one Sakusa Kiyoomi.

"Atsumu, I think you might have OCD." Kiyoomi says bluntly one night, a mess of tangled legs and arms.
Atsumu perks up his head and makes a sort of confused expression. "What? Omi are ya crazy? I don't even like doing the laundry."

“M’totally fine Omi, I appreciate the concern though.” He mumbles, his least convincing statement of the night.
Sakusa turns on his heel, grabs his stuff and walks right out the door.

Ten, twenty, thirty minutes, maybe, pass before Kiyoomi hears his own name. His sister stands at the corner of the road, looking for him. Wiping his tears, Kiyoomi tucks the feeling away, refusing to think about why a boy would make him feel different than a girl.

“You hate talking to people.” Motoya said, draining his glass.
“Doesn’t stop me from making friends.”
“Yes it does.” It was at times like this that Kiyoomi resented the fact that his mother had decided to have a child at the same time as her sister so they could grow up together.
“Wanna bet?”
This seemed to pull Motoya out of his absent minded arguing. “Yes actually.”
“And how would that work?” Kiyoomi asked.
“It’s simple, I pick a teammate and each time we meet in person you tell me something new that you learned about them.” Everyone always thought that Motoya was the nicer of the two of them. Just because of his kind face and abnormal eyebrows. They would be wrong. He was a menace.
“Okay then.” Kiyoomi was a smart man, he thought of all of the variables before he made decisions. Motoya was being dramatic. This should be easy enough.
“I pick Miya.” Shit.

Kiyoomi had loved Atsumu long, long before the rest of the universe did; back in their awkward pre-pubescent days when Atsumu’s incubus blood still sat dormant and quiet in his veins, back when Atsumu used to pop the collar of his polo shirts because he thought it looked cooler and grew out his bangs to hide his acne and tried to squash down the thick drawl of his accent to fit in better with the snobby prep kids.
Then Atsumu turned 16 and everything changed.

Sakusa Kiyoomi does not like being touched.
Frankly, he finds physical contact with other people to be repulsive. He’s seen the statistics on how many people actually wash their hands after using the restroom, and they’re disheartening enough for him to write off unnecessary touching as a solid no, thank you. It’s not worth it, not to him.
He hates shaking hands, flinches away from pats on the shoulder, cringes at the thought of pressing against someone on public transit. Even as a child, hugs from most family members left him craving at least a change of clothes before he could continue his day.
But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want it.
