Eraserhead's been on the hunt for an elusive villain only known by the press as 'Ghost'. No fingerprints, blood, or evidence of any kind can ever be found at the scene of the crimes. All of the villain's cases inevitably run cold.
Izuku wishes he'd been born Quirkless after all. Maybe then, he could've believed in heroes. Maybe then, he could've turned into someone good.

Summary
When Midoriya Izuku finds an altar buried in the woods, he really should leave it alone. It’s old and it’s faded— the dark stones are weather-worn, pockmarks from the flow of water over time.
An abandoned altar meant gods who had been abandoned.
(And maybe, Izuku finds this too sad to ignore)
With soft fingers and keen eyes, Izuku begins to strip the rocks of dirt and mould. Even though it is evening and the shadows dip low— the altar is warm beneath his hands.
It feels like change.

Summary
One big lesson in life, if you manage to somehow magically live past an entire century, is how to preserve important or sentimental documents like a photo of you and your family that you can’t see, notebooks with years worth of work, or in this specific case an old ID card.
It definitely gets more annoying over time, collecting paper, it takes up a lot of space if you’ve lived as long as Izuku has. Paper takes up about 50% of the houses that he’s lived in at this point. Could he put some of the things on his computer? Yes absolutely. Will he do it? No, the last thing he needs is a digital footprint that screams I am a cockroach, I am incapable of dying. And besides everything that is, what he calls, “Akatani Confidential” (any information or theories that he has that would give away that he’s lived for almost three centuries) is in a code that he made personally in a written language that he made himself. Both of them were made when he was bored as shit and young as hell. He has done a lot of things out of boredom-and he’s getting off track. ID cards. Right.Series

One article about a bad hero turns into four articles, then ten, then twenty and soon the whole country is reading about licensed villains playing at savior. Izuku writes them haphazardly, picking heroes whose wrong doings are masked by their fame. That is, until he meets Endeavor.In other words; the one where Izuku sees the fault in the hero system, makes it his mission to fix it with the help of one burnt fire-user vigilante, and eventually finds himself deeper in this mess than he originally planned.

Summary
The moment All Might told Izuku he couldn't be hero, things only went further downhill. He failed the UA exam and found himself in a sorry state. Years later he was able to pick himself up again. Got a decent job and being a respectable member of society... well except for the illegal vigilante work he did on the side as Token. It was a far cry from true pro-hero work, stopping muggers and burglars, small time crime. He got a chance to show what he could do when Eraserhead sent out a SOS. Then he accidentally got pushed into a portal and found himself back being fourteen year old quirkless Deku with All Might telling him all over again he couldn't be a hero. Time to show the guy he was wrong.
Or to summarize, vigilante Midoriya Izuku travels back nine years into time and gets another chance at a impossible dream.
