“I think… I think I’m fine.” Linhardt began, trying to think of the proper words. “It’s… it’s just my wrist. I think I’m more concerned about what was wrong with that man than anything.”
Caspar tilted his head questioningly. “What do you mean? He was just a regular bandit, right?”
“Well, probably. But… he seemed to be under some sort of influence.” Caspar raised an eyebrow, looking somewhat skeptical as Linhardt continued. “He had a knife, but when he actually attacked me, he, ah, he bit me.”
After a strange encounter, Linhardt begins experiencing some rather disturbing changes.

“You’ve never liked girls,” Linhardt said. His voice was still just as calm and matter-of-fact as usual, but he spoke slower, like he was confused at Caspar’s confusion.
The library felt stuffier than ever, the sunlight and the old books more oppressive than they were just moments ago. Caspar felt sweat on the back of his neck as he stared at Linhardt, wide-eyed, processing that.
“I didn’t mean to upset you,” Linhardt said after another moment of pause, his lips downturned into a frown. “I thought you must know that.”
