Lyney swallows, trying hard to keep his cool. His face pulls into a polite, measured smile. “It’s a pleasure meeting you, Kinich.” He hopes the tremor in his voice wasn’t too obvious for Kinich, because it sure as hell was to Lynette if the hard side eye he receives is anything to go by.

There might come a day in which they will all leave the House of the Hearth. There might come a day in which Arlecchino lets them out of the ground. There might come a day in which Lyney will have to take on the role of ‘Father.’
They are all good children. Good, honest and lovely children. As a big brother, it is Lyney’s job to give his siblings good dreams. It’s his job to be with them until they die. But in truth, he knows that he’s the most dishonest amongst the three of them. His insecurities began to well up inside. If they continue to live on in this life of danger, there is no telling what will happen to his siblings. Lynette and Freminet are his precious siblings. He has to preserve their lives.
But he doesn’t want to be left behind either.
TLDR; Lyney fears the day of becoming ‘Father.’
