Summary
"You did the same thing for me. I broke down at some kid's injury, and you don't even cry after being covered in blood."
"I got used to it." Trinity met your eyes. "Are you mad at me?"
After averting your gaze for just a moment, you finally managed to meet hers aswell. Seeing the slight swell of guilt there, the panic still prominent in her features, the stress folding her forehead in wrinkles. You couldn't.
"I...", you started, and ignored the dry feeling in your throat. "... no. No, I'm not mad. At you."
A pause.
"I am not mad at you," you said. "I am mad at what, or who, is making you shake like that."
or...
Y/N Evans is Dana Evans' niece, and a clinical work documenter. So it is a relief for Trinity Santos when the nurse starts working at The Pitt, handling the day shift protocol of rough cases, some that normally Santos would have to do. But as the two meet, Y/N can't lie about her feelings anymore.
There's a past they have to dig up, a realization that happens, and two paths that swirl around eachother and in the end finally connect into a braid.

Summary
So she stayed silent and didn’t talk back, forced her eyes to not wander, hid, bared herself as an offering to Al-Hashimi's dark-brown gaze. Held it a little too long and a little too silently, maybe, to fit into her usual patterns. The shortest creasing of a brow, the letting her off with a gentle warning that was too gentle for what she would usually have gotten.
Pity is the highest and most final form of contempt, the last saint before downfall, maybe that’s why she takes to it so well.
