“You’re restless, Eddie.”
The exhausted human scoffs at the other with tightened breath. His body curls deeper in on itself in bed. He doesn’t trust his own voice when he says,
“Well bud, that’s what happens when you keep me awake for over twenty-four hours.”
His words hold a slight tremble, exhaustion plaguing each of his heavy limbs. There is silence and then gurgling before there’s any response.“That’s not all though, is it?”
“I don’t care for whatever you’re getting at.” Eddie grumbles before flipping avoidantly onto his side.
“We are restless, Eddie.” The human sighs helplessly at this, his frustration pinching his features as he uselessly fluffs his flattened pillow. The silence is heavy in the room, aside from the slithering, burbling of the symbiotie.

Suddenly, he felt as if his limbs weren’t his. They moved as if they had a mind of their own. Deliberate, robotic movements; a mockery of human nature. His own voice seemed to be silenced. Eddie stumbled across the streets in a daze. He tried to break himself free, feeling as if his own limbs weren't being dragged through molasses. His body wasn’t listening to him. It was too busy listening to the parasite within him.

The words landed behind him like a drop of cold water down his spine. Eddie froze mid-step, shoulders locking tight. The heat crawled up the back of his neck again, mortifying and immediate.
“You were moving,” Venom went on, voice steady, analytical, almost gentle in his matter-of-fact tone. It sounded like he was logging data, as if Eddie’s humiliation was just another entry in some strange, private report.
Eddie exhaled sharply through his nose, the sound halfway between a sigh and a growl, and forced himself to move again. “Vee, I don’t really want to get into this right—”
