"Well I did find out, didn’t I?" Anthony hisses back, voice raising just enough for the couple nearby to look over at them curiously. Her brother gives them a curt nod, the lines of his jaw etched with tension as the muscle near his temple ticks with the suppressed rage that simmers beneath his skin.

Summary
Hermione Granger works in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and she is tasked with helping to root out the remaining Death Eater cells and bringing them to justice, even as they are being killed off one-by-one. Many have been tried and imprisoned for their crimes but dozens are still unaccounted for, including high ranking members such as the Lestrange brothers, Dolohov, and Pettigrew. Even Draco Malfoy has gone missing after serving a four year sentence in Azkaban.
Until, suddenly, he isn’t missing anymore.
His magic has become dark, terrible, and powerful. It presents a new threat to the Wizarding world they have never seen before.Hermione finds herself in the middle of trying to both save Malfoy from arrest and investigate him for dozens of murders of Muggleborn witches and wizards. The sudden encounters and a promise to an old acquaintance force Hermione to confront feelings she had hoped were just in her imagination.
