he always thought that it’s the smile that could capture one’s heart, and so there was not a moment he hadn’t flashed his beam to anyone; because he knows he’s irresistible that way, and also, in hopes of his ego being fed.
what he didn’t expect was his own ideology backfiring at him– because for all the smiles he’d seen and done himself, he never thought that a series of little to no smiles from one person would be the one to actually leave him struck right on his own feet.
and they were no one but xu minghao’s.

There’s a buzzing going through Minghao’s entire being. It knocks the gravity in him, and makes him lock his knees. The wall just barely protected him from falling. He grips his phone with one hand, and puts a palm against his flat belly.
He’s holding two lives in his hands, one is growing beneath his hand, while the other is merely a voice in his ears–both things he can’t get control of. His world is spinning as it changes, so fast, not giving Minghao time to brace for impact.
