“Eiden is our real master, too!” Morvay protested innocently—even as Aster suppressed a guilt-riddled flinch at Kuya’s words—and oh, that was absolutely the wrong thing to say, because Kuya's face shifted from merely cold to downright glacial. It was the same expression he'd make in the brief seconds before he separated an enemy's head from their neck.
