Eddie breaks into a surprised laugh, shoving Richie away as he tries to insinuate himself next to where Eddie has been relaxing on the couch all afternoon, a hard knee digging into Eddie’s side. He had been so pleasant undisturbed with Richie cleaning out the pool, had been reading on his iPad which is now being sucked into a crevice on the couch.

Summary
The room is not big, but it's not small either. It doesn't look much like an office except for the crammed in desks and typewriters. The floor is wood, stained dark. Light streams in through a barely-open window, lending all of the brown a forgiving sheen of gold. The rain must have stopped.
Several of the desks are overfilled with knick-knacks and books, definitely not in a suitable state to work at. Behind one of these, a man sits with his feet on top of the table and its contents, ankles crossed. If Eddie had to make a guess he'd say he's around Eddie's own age. White, with dark hair. He's wearing glasses.
Bingo. This is his man.

Summary
David pulls up a video on the large monitor between them. It's shot outside a building – a courthouse, David tells her. Two men have been stopped to be interviewed by whoever's filming. Both of them have their arms crossed tight, shoulders drawn up high, almost shifty looking. The taller one is in a puffer jacket, has a hat pulled down low on his forehead, looking like any Maine country bumpkin.
"We don't know what happens next," he answers the interviewer, and with a start Sam realizes that it's Richie Tozier, the comedian. She doesn't recognize the other man, but a title card identifies him as William Denbrough. -

Summary
Through the office rumor mill Richie learns that Eddie has a mortgage on a house he doesn't live in, a frequently used membership in the gym on the fourth floor, and an ongoing divorce that keeps him tightly glued to his cell phone, constantly whispering, "We said we'd only talk via the mediator. No, Myra, only via the mediator," through gritted teeth, pacing in his office whenever Richie happens to pass by after his lunch break.
Richie has a Playstation 3 that only works when leaned slightly to the side, propped up with a broken mug he made taking a drunken pottery class with Bev. So they're on slightly different life paths.

Summary
When the beer is all gone – and Stan’s cocktail too via some unasked for assistance – Richie's spirits rise to their prior heights. "I'm gonna text Eddie to see if he's awake," he crows, "it's gonna be so funny."
"How is that funny," Stan asks, but he's always had a weird sense of humor, he wouldn't get it.
"It's funny ‘cause he'll think I'm hitting him up for a booty call. He's gonna be so pissed." The thought makes Richie giddy. He's been pushing it with the gay chicken lately, ratcheting up the fake flirting to match his recently out persona, and it's been getting on Eddie’s nerves – scratch that, it’s been getting on everyone’s nerves.

Summary
Richie doesn't have any mention of a boyfriend, past or present, on his Wikipedia article and he’s never talked about it to any of them, probably. Maybe Stan, because he’s the only one who can keep secrets. If he talked to Mike about it, everyone would know, and if he talked about it to Ben he wouldn’t tell anyone except Mike and Mike would tell everyone anyway. Maybe Bev. (Is it homophobic if Eddie thinks Richie might tell Bev about being gay? Eddie googles but the results are inconclusive.)
None of them seem particularly well-versed in the subject, so he probably hasn’t talked to any of them. It occurs to him that maybe, if he was still in New York, he would assume that the people closer to Richie should handle it.
Is this Eddie’s job? As the person living in his backyard, it probably is. Eddie’s heart starts to thump worryingly in his chest. It can’t be his job.
But he’s been staying in Richie’s pool house. He’s been swimming in his pool. The most he contributes to Richie’s life is the occasional 48-pack of Fruit Roll-Ups. He hasn’t even chipped in for utilities.
Oh shit. It’s totally his job.

Summary
Things haven’t been easy after Derry - Eddie doesn’t remember a lot. Richie remembers too much. Eddie was barely keeping afloat while adjusting to actually surviving. Richie was struggling with his looming self hatred.
And after six months, Eddie gets a cabin and invites the Losers for the first reunion since everything went down. And then some.
Or, Richie and Eddie learn to be honest with themselves and each other.

Summary
Eventually the zucchinis are all decimated and the Furbys are lined up how Bev wants them. Richie tucks his legs in and makes room for other people on the couch. When Mike sits next to him instead of Eddie, he tries not to be crestfallen. Being seated next to Mike is a blessing, and Eddie’s only two cushions away. Richie waits for Mike to get comfortable before plopping his legs in his lap so his toes are touching Eddie, anyway.
“Get your foot out of my armpit,” Eddie says, shoving Richie away. “What the hell are we watching?”
“I’m so glad you asked,” Richie says. For a moment, his stomach twists nervously. But the truth is, he knows he has nothing to be worried about, not anymore. “Who here likes to objectify men?”
