Summary
Philip "Pip" Pirrip is a young teenage boy, living with his mother, in South Park Colorado. Years of mistreatment and physical abuse from the other students at his school has left him with the inability to fully trust anyone besides his mother.
One day, a young and mysterious, small boy wearing all black suddenly appears in South Park. Will the new kid be another bully or completely ignore Pip? In any case, it's highly doubtful that the boy will have a positive impact on Pip's life.

Summary
Philip Pirrup was optimistic. When he saw small swirls of color blooming on his skin at the age of 8, he knew as a positive he had a soulmate. He held firmly onto that belief even as deep bruises replaced the bright reds and blues of the drawings until any marks that were not his own disappeared completely. He knew, of course, that when your soulmate died, all of their prints disappear from your skin, but he refused to dwell on that thought. In fact, he was happy to see no bruises or cuts of his soulmate's on his skin. That meant that they were safe, wherever they were.
Damien Thorn didn’t believe in soulmates. He wasn’t sure he even had 1, being only half-human and all. His dad didn’t have a soulmate, so Damien couldn’t see how he could. He remembers being younger and drawing all over his arms and legs, hoping his soulmate would see it. That was back when he lived with his foster parents. The large pale scar running up his rib cage is a painful reminder of those people.
