Hao didn’t dare look away from Gyuvin’s eyes, the younger staring right into his soul, his usual brown eyes now covered in an almost golden tone. His scent got even stronger the more he spoke, the intensity of his emotions carrying every word.
“Yes Gyuvin?”
“Hanbin… he— you can call him right, you talk with him, he… he most hate me now”
Gyuvin hugged himself, his cheeks covered in the tears that fell from his eyes. His voice was low and quiet as he crunched down to the floor and hid his face behind his hands.
“Puppy”
The front door suddenly opened, Hanbin’s breathy voice breaking through.

“Fine. I’ll teach you how to kiss but only on one condition. You need to promise me, Gyuvin. No matter what, you won’t fall in love with me.”
Gyuvin already loves Hao more than he’d ever feel comfortable admitting, but that’s honestly just because they don’t have that kind of dynamic. If anything, sincerity is a little rare just because it makes them both feel awkward. He never really knows what to say or how to let Hao know how much he means to him, so he settles for teasing.
“I won’t,” Gyuvin easily agrees, tightening his grip on Hao’s waist.
“Promise,” Hao leans his head closer to Gyuvin, tapping their noses together. “Tell me that you won’t fall in love.”
“I promise I won’t fall in love with you, hyung.”
Gyuvin isn’t sure if he’s a bad kisser or not, but he’s never felt the magic that everyone talks about. He thinks that maybe he needs to work on it, and asks Hao for help. Hao reluctantly agrees, but not without his own reservations.

In the phrasing. In the softened edges of his accent whenever he gets tired enough to stop thinking before talking and it's the most devastating thing Hanbin has ever experienced in his life.

Gyuvin frowned, his eyes glued to the ink now sprawled across Ricky's pale skin. Just a tattoo? Gyuvin's world was imploding, but to Ricky it was just a tattoo. A permanent marking etched into the perfectly taut canvas, a completely new feature Gyuvin would have to commit to memory on something previously so familiar to him.
More than anything in the world, he wanted to ask if he could touch it, but that would be a weirdo thing to do, and, from the limited amount of knowledge he had, he was pretty sure that would not be good for a freshly done tattoo either. He refused to think beyond that and wonder if Ricky would let him do it, would let him touch his neck if he asked. That was dangerous territory.
