Summary
Crowley was an optimist, but at that moment, when the inner pressure increased immeasurably, when everything just hurt, when his vision blurred so much that the Bentley acted on its own and pulled over and stopped, at that moment the optimist in him gave up.
The Demon is broken, in his darkest moment he pleads for the only being he has ever cared for. Too bad for him that it's the same being he doesn't want with him at that moment.

Summary
It is a night with no stars in the sky. No moon to light the way.
Aziraphale should be afraid of the demon that suddenly stands next to him. He can't see him, only hear him (and feel him).
Why does this demon make the unbearable and suffocating darkness more bearable?
Aziraphale can’t see in the dark, Crowley can.

Summary
Restless traveler, Aziraphale Fell, meets settled-down Anthony Crowley in middle-of-nowhere, Texas.
Aziraphale goes through life flitting from place to place, never staying long. He runs on the belief that if he’s not going, he’s missing out on something better. Crowley’s life is stationary. He keeps himself rooted with the belief that his life is the best it’s ever going to get, and to go would be to risk that.
Aziraphale has to go. Crowley has to stay. They have to take what they can get from each other, and that needs to be enough.

Summary
"She is pregnant," Crowley said from above him. He made no attempt to sit down next to Aziraphale.
It occurred to the angel that Crowley had never been unkind. He hadn't yelled, hadn't insulted him, hadn't made any attempt to give him back even a portion of the hurt he had suffered. He could. He would be well within his rights to. And Aziraphale would have no other choice but to sit there and take it and try to apologise and try to fix it and try to get his best friend back.
But Crowley hadn't. He had been careful not to.
Somehow, it hurt even more.
Aziraphale needs Crowley's help with raising the reincarnation of Jesus. Problem is, Crowley won't even look at him.

Summary
"Really," Crowley says, and laughs, sharp and mean. "They gave you the job and not the authority to run it? Well, isn’t that a surprise. If only someone had told you."
"That's not how these things work! It's just—slow going, is all. Change takes time, Crowley."
"Sure, yeah. Climb your way up, but not too much, ey?"
"It's not about me," Aziraphale says, snappy, in that holier-than-thou voice. Crowley smiles mirthlessly, bares his teeth.
"No, you're just a tool for the greater Good, are you. How's that working out, d'you think?"
"Swimmingly, actually. The Metatron really appreciates my suggestions." He smiles—soft, wondrous, almost disbelieving. Crowley wants to scratch it out of his face. Wants to shake him until he comes to his senses and drops to his knees and begs him—
"I always knew you were naive, but not this much," he hisses. "They're going to chew you up and put you through the grinder until you can't take it anymore and then, when you finally, finally snap, they'll cast you down like they did the rest of us."
Aziraphale's eyes flick down once—to his mouth, Crowley realizes, and abruptly steps back, face prickling with shame. Shame, him. Imagine that.

So in character and a really good thought through storyline! Maggie, Nina and Crowley as a detective trio is all I ever needed.

Summary
Crowley realizes he is in love with Aziraphale in Rome. Of course, by then, there’s no turning back. This does not necessarily mean there’s going forward. Loving Aziraphale is punishable, forbidden in every sense of the word. But there’s nothing much that can be done about it.
Like a terminal illness, Crowley treats the enormity of his emotions the best he can, distracting himself from the impossibility of having a life with Aziraphale with his favorite vice— having mindless, meaningless sex with any human that bears a resemblance to the angel.
He feeds off fleeting desire (which can almost be mistaken for want). He survives off the attention of strangers (who can almost be mistaken for Aziraphale, in the dark). And he manages. It’s fine.
Only it would be much finer is Aziraphale got off his ass about it. Or got off on his ass about it.
