It’s not exactly a growl, he looks too shocked for that, but it’s not the anger he’s been expecting for the last fifteen minutes or so. His gaze drags from the hat to where Alejandro has his legs stretched out on his bed, and back up to his eyes. He pauses there, looming over him, and swallows hard.

“You better be careful about what you’re asking for,” Ghost said, his voice practically a growl.
Soap shuddered, knowing exactly what he was asking for, knew Ghost grew up having to fight viciously for everything that he had, how he didn’t know how to own things casually.

“Do you want to end up on the floor, sergeant?” Ghost asks calmly.
“Is that a challenge, sir?”
And the second those words leave his lips, Ghost is bending down, pressing one shoulder into the crook of John’s knee, and forcing the smaller man to fall on his back. Ghost stays knelt down, satisfied with the takedown.
“I guess that was a promise,” Soap says sheepishly. One leg is still stuck up on Ghost’s shoulder, his other leg bent and pressed on the other side of the lieutenant.
Simon is trapped between Johnny’s legs.
Both men are still for a moment too long.
Or, the one where Soap takes challenging Ghost a bit too far, and the closeness of sparring awakens something between them.

Chapter Two: A missing scene after the mission Countdown. All is quiet in the pub after Task Force 141 take out Hassan and save Chicago. Soap reminds Ghost that he doesn't leave things unfinished.
Additional Chapters: A continuation of the story after the completion of the campaign revolving around Ghost and Soap and their developing bond. Ghost Team learns to navigate their new dynamic while facing down adversaries, reuniting with allies, and attempting to enjoy a little R and R before leading potentially into MW3 upon possible release.
