“That's all I ask.” He framed her face in both hands and leaned to press a soft kiss to her forehead. “I will always take care of what's mine. That's my promise to you.”
After so long spent working to the bone, her exhaustion has caught up to her: she can barely stay awake. The Hunter's Association forces her to take several weeks off to recover, but what is she supposed to do? Her job is everything she has. And even beyond that, it's not like she can take care of herself. Not like this, not when she's too burnt out to function. But... Well, at least she has Sylus.
