whiskey in glasses, poured out in ounces by mulberry_kitFandoms: The Magnus Archives (Podcast)06 Jun 2025 TagsSummary“You hate whiskey.” Jon murmurs. “What?” “Whiskey. You hate it. You said it makes you feel like you’re turning into your father.” “Hm.” Tim takes another drink. “Why are you here, Jon?” It’s a question, but he says it like a statement - flat and unaffected, as if it can hide how rattled he is by Jons presence. Jon blinks owlishly. “It’s New Year’s? We always spend New Year’s together. I shouldn’t - I didn’t want to be alone.” Series- Part 1 of auld lang syne

TagsSummaryIt’s been getting more difficult, lately. Jon doesn’t sleep, doesn’t eat - makes it quite clear he doesn’t want to. They snap at each other often. Jon’s tone slips harsh and caustic, an echo of a dynamic they both know they’ve moved past. Martin drifts after they fight, sometimes. He’ll sit silently in the kitchen for hours, or go on walks that last for days. When he resurfaces, Jon will apologize. Martin will apologize back. They don’t look at each other when they do it and they don’t talk about it again. Even now, as entangled as they are, more present than either Jon or Martin has felt in days; neither can shake the feeling that they’re losing each other.

Out of the Wind, In From the Cold by OstentenacityFandoms: The Magnus Archives (Podcast)07 Nov 2020 TagsSummaryThere are two bedrooms in the safehouse, and two beds. For a moment, Jon considers asking to share, but decides against it with a wince. “I really loved you,” Martin had told him. Loved. Past tense. And Martin doesn’t exactly have a lot of choices right now in terms of company; it would be cruel to demand he play at feelings he no longer has just to make Jon happy. (For a moment, Martin considers asking to share. But he dismisses the idea with a shake of his head. Jon has already done so much for him. Martin isn’t about to ask for more, especially not when it’s something he doesn’t really need. He has his right mind back, and he has Jon’s friendship. That should be enough for him. It’ll have to be.) --- Jon thinks that Martin doesn’t love him. Martin thinks that Jon doesn’t love him. They do not, of course, discuss this. Unrequited love is already awkward enough, right? in the chillest land and on the strangest sea by imperfectcircle, raven (singlecrow)Fandoms: The Magnus Archives (Podcast)21 Jun 2020 TagsSummaryJon remembers a statement he read years ago given by a Jesuit priest, who said that the shortest prayer he knew was, just, fuck it, as in fuck it; it's in God's hands. He takes Daisy's hand and trails on after her. or; hope is a thing with feathers. Bookmarked by mulberry_kit18 Mar 2021

but i want the whole damn thing by blackwood (transjon) for cyprinellaFandoms: The Magnus Archives (Podcast)24 Mar 2020 TagsSummary“I was thinking actually, um. Why don’t you come over to my place and I’ll cook something?” Tim looks at him carefully. The scruffy, angled curve of his jaw. Soft cheeks. Those marks from his glasses. The blush creeping down his neck. There’s a deep affection blooming in his chest, then, for a long, lingering, treacherous second. Dangerous. Lovely. “Oh, right now?” Martin shakes his head. His hair bounces all over the place. “No, I – tomorrow. Can you do tomorrow?” as if either of them has plans anymore. Like they have to check. Like either of them goes out or sees anyone aside from anyone working there, now. The shoe’s about to drop, probably. The last shoe. Tim says “yes.” He doesn’t regret the word. – or, about being prepared to die as an act of revenge and clumsy attempts at love in the face of what surely is going to be the end of the world.
