Summary
When Maria is cured, GUN seizes possession of Shadow and separates them as Project Shadow shifts to other focuses. Believing each other to be dead, 50 years pass. Tired of being GUN's science experiment/weapon, angry at humanity, and feeling wholly alone in the world, Shadow escapes from GUN's containment without a plan for what to do next. By some good fortune, Shadow crashes into Sonic's life and begins truly living for the first time in 50 years. Meanwhile, two Robotniks - each with their own ulterior motives - collectively wage a small war against GUN in a search for information.
A story about family, grief, love, and finding your way back home.

Summary
Sonic was really beginning to hate all of this dimension-hopping.
He ends up in a parallel universe where everyone's personalities are different, including his rivals. Shadow, who Sonic usually knew as being cold and angry all the time, a true hater really, is much softer and more affectionate in this dimension, but only towards Sonic.
As Sonic and alternate universe gang try to figure out how to get him home, feelings start bubbling up, and this experience has him seeing his rival in a new light. How is he meant to face him when he goes back?

Summary
Sonic makes a show of dragging his feet across the carpet and feigns intense interest with the doorknob. “Does this lock?” he asks casually, twisting the hardware back and forth.
Shadow tosses his head toward the ceiling, burying his face in his hands like he’s caught in a moral dilemma. “You have thirty minutes,” he says, finally, as easily as yanking teeth with a pair of rusty pliers.
Sonic all but lunges over the desk, a spike of adrenaline shocking his heart.
“I don’t know if we’ve met,” he says, hands finding their way to Shadow’s hips like a moth to light. “But I have a reputation for being quick.”
or: Sonic returns home after two months. His immediate course of action is to get in Shadow’s pants.
