Summary
"Like a twisted remake of the end of their last fight, Ekko steps in just as Jinx pulls the pin of a bomb – a more powerful, deadlier version of the bomb she’d used then to try and blow both of them up. He sees it happen nearly in slow-motion; her lonely silhouette in the middle of the fan blade-bridge, hair chopped short, head bowed; ripping herself to shreds before his eyes in a flash of bright blue and pink light. His hand yanks the Z-drive handle before he can even gasp, and green light flares out of it, undoing the pink and blue; Jinx’s pallid skin knits itself back together, the pin returns to the bomb and her dark Shimmer-pink eyes open back up, finger about to pull."
Eventual smut, lots of angst, hurt/comfort, and two traumatised young adults trying to figure out if and how they can make their way back to each other.

But there is so much to do, so little time. And yet... maybe, among the chaos of the oncoming storm, they'll find the time and will to pick up the pieces of what they once were. Hope is a winged beast, and now is the time to learn how to fly.Or : what happened during the timeskip between Jinx's rescue at the beginning of episode 9, and her arrival on the battlefield? My guess is a whole lot.

Something had changed tonight, weaving itself between the music's heavy bass and the dancefloor's colorful lights, tying its knot at the corner of her mouth when she smiled at him, all sharp teeth and unbridled excitement. It swirled around them as they danced, and he followed her along while she swayed and twirled into his space, her warmth all-encompassing, intoxicating. He had felt the walls crumbling, and he had let them, the rubble at his feet feeling like a fair exchange for a moment that should not exist, brief and frail and slipping through his fingers with every second.
It would hurt. Ekko knew it would hurt more than anything, but he wanted to be selfish, if only this once.

Or, Powder and Ekko do a little more than just kissing in the rooftop after the party.
