“Hey mate, good practice today.” he claps him on the shoulder, jerking Nick forward a bit by the strength.
“Thanks man.” Nick gives a half tired smile. He’s about to grab his bag and head out before Adrian speaks up again.
“Not even that extra meat on your bones can slow you down.” Adrian chuckles a bit and heads towards his own locker.
His comment leaves Nick a little stunned but he shakes his head and leaves the locker room. He knows it’s common to gain a little weight when starting uni, but he’s never paid much attention to his body.

Nick starts his first year at uni and didn’t expect it to be so lonely. When someone makes a comment on his body, everything seems to spiral from there. -

When he asked why Nandor felt sad about the documentary ending he was hoping he’d get the answer he’s been waiting for. For years now there was no denying the feelings he had for Nandor. No matter how many times he leaves, he will always be back and it will always be for his stupid master.

“Where’s Mike?” she asks, looking around again. She catches a glance in the kitchen and can see some dishes piled up in the sink. Huh, a bit odd. Before she can think more on it, Abby speaks up, “He’s in his room sleeping”.
“Oh, well i’ll just go wake him up. I know he doesn’t want to be late to work.” as she goes to make her way to his bedroom, Abby speaks up again. “He’s been sleeping all weekend.” That grabs her attention and she stops in her tracks to look at the kid.

Vanessa comes to watch Abby while Mike has to go in to work but is met with only the youngest Schmidt when she arrives. -

“Jesus did you run here?” Dee asks, looking Charlie up and down. They all stare at Charlie waiting for him to catch his breath.
“Is Mac here?” Charlie finally rasps out.“He’s out back talking with the keg guy. Why?” Dennis says, pointing towards the back door.
“Shit alright.” Charlie says, going to play with the end of his jacket. They all look in anticipation, waiting for the next part, but Charlie stays quiet as he takes a seat at the bar. Dennis grabs a beer and hands him it and asks, “Well? What did you need him for? You come in here like a mad man, huffing and puffing and then don’t share anything.”
“Oh! Yeah, Mac’s mom died.” Charlie says almost nonchalantly. Everyone looks at him, stopping what they’re doing. Charlie seems to feel all eyes on him and looks up with a confused expression, as if he didn’t just say what he said.
___OR Mac’s mom dies and the gang figures out a way to break the news to him. Simple enough, but of course they screw it up.
