    i do want to see more outside pov though. of mapicc specifically. i need more mapicc backstory (on this reread i noticed that i couldnt find a mention of mapicc being non-human idk whether i missed it or its not there and the hc of mapicc being a demon of somekind is just so deeply ingrained in my brain it was assumed. whoops.)

    parrot and flame. you cannot be this stupid. gang. surely NOT. this is about to go horribly, horribly wrong and i am SO EXCITED. legit how do you not pick up the fact that a kid is homeless and has no family when you know he lurked outside walls, alone, and stole from the market. be SO FR WITH ME. parrot and flame are so disconnected from spoke's reality its gone from being funny, being depressing, right back around into being absolutely fucking hysterical. they probably weren't even aware of the fact that most of the market people don't willingly serve spoke!! or mapicc!! because (shocker) they don't actually pay attention!! and how did they not notice how desperate spoke was for a friend. be so fr. mapicc was the one quivering out of his boots in the early chapters. he was not the one looking for friends. it was sPOKE.
    like sure. ur a king. parrot. but flame? no excuse. idk how old spoke is in this fic but he gives vibes of like 12-15ish. why would you leave a lonely, unstable kid alone in a house where everyone nearby hates his guts.
    in other news. i have the vibe that voidlings latch onto people (so, like egg for wemmbu and mapicc for spoke) and they become more unstable the more they're away from their person. there is no evidence for this other than i think it'd be cool. also gang if ur so fucking scared of your little brother's biology because youve fallen for the racist as shit propaganda, perhaps invest in talking to his actual brother. yknow the one you dont let him see. bc you think hes dangerous??? or something. yes danger, not to spoke.

    in conclusion: parrot and flame piss me off big time. i want wemmbu and egg to kick ass. i want mapicc angst and other people seeing it (and realising what they're seeing *cough cough* FLAMEFRAGS AND PARROTX2 *cough). i want more biology stuff (for mapicc too!!). i want spoke, wemmbu, mapicc and egg to all hang out together and egg get used to *ahh!* children. Finally, i want flame and parrot to get their heads out of their asses and look at 1. their idiocy. 2. what they've done to their YOUNGER BROTHER and his TRAUMATIZED, ORPHAN FRIEND. 3. realise that they fell horribly for the propaganda. 4. to get yelled at.

    the continuation of my goat mapicc!!! and although i seek more mapicc lore parrot fuck you bro "I MUST KNOW ABOUT HIS PARENTS" gang fuck OFF. also on this reread i figured out i missed the bit where mapicc basically goes "well my dad went nuts and killed my mum (and then maybe mapicc killed him or he committed a murder-suicide, im not sure)" in his internal monologue. not a clue how i missed that.

    Perhaps he should worry about the sheer amount of information passed through the network, and it does leave him with migraines far too often, but it is too kriffing useful to pass up. He cannot afford to let anything fall to the wayside, not when a mere Legion would have more commanding officers walking around than a Corps like the Coruscant Guard does.

    The Network is the only reason the Guard has not fallen apart yet. Sometimes, Fox just wants to sleep for a month. Unfortunately, Coruscant would probably burn down and break into chaos if he was absent for any period of time.

    Still, this is his planet. The Guard's planet. It is their home, more deeply than Kamino ever was. The rest of the GAR does not have that- their hopes are their ships, endlessly traveling and battling and traveling some more. The Guard does not move, except in small numbers. Coruscant is theirs to live on and theirs to protect, and nobody can change that fact.

    Cody gets that mulish look that means he is all out of patience, so Fox knows he should brace himself. Yet, his words hit with an unfiltered force that he knows will bruise.
