Toji always wanted a daughter. Naturally, the day his only daughter (Megumi) was born became one of the happiest days of Toji's life.
So of course, it's by some sort of karma that one day, his baby told him— "Daddy, I think I'm a boy."
Toji struggled with acceptance, not for any other reason than the fact that he was having a very hard time accepting that his daughter was now his...son.
It's not his fault that he became obsessed with the girl that Megumi was trying so hard to forget.
It started simple: Toji sneaking in to sniff his daughter's (son's) panties when he was picking up to do some laundry. The panic, which had been pushed to the side but not forgotten, reared its ugly head. It swept through him before he could get a handle on it and he began to beat against the dark boundary that held him. Each strike reverberated up his sore arms and he was yelling. He kicked his feat the best he could against the wall and, at one point, felt his foot go through the drywall. He glanced toward the general area he thought his foot was but no foot nor light was to be found.
He was going to be trapped between the shadows and light forever.
It was like a vice had closed over each lung. Breathing became a labor, each breath in painful as Fushiguro fought to inflate his lungs, and each breath released in a burst that went by too fast. The abyss had taken on a weight that was crushing him.
If he died like this, would his upper half fall into the shadows while his lower half slid down the wall?
Hands reappeared around this waist, though the touch was skin-to-skin. Itadori’s rough palms and heated skin was a sharp constraint to the nothingness of the shadows and Fushiguro gasped at the touch. It broke him from his doom spiral and anchored him back into the now.

The muted glow of his phone’s lock screen showed 1:17 AM. Sukuna put the screen to sleep and slipped his phone into his back pocket. He returned to watching Yuuji’s house for any movement. The last light had gone off nearly two hours previous, but Sukuna didn’t want to rush the plan. He’d been careful every step of the way, building to this moment with precise, specific steps.
He’d escalated, some might say, and he didn’t want to misstep now after all the hard work he’d put in over the weeks. It would be so easy to lose himself to his building excitement, but he was a man in control of himself. What he was going to do, he was going to do right. The reward would be worth it.
The shadows around him seemed to wrap him in their embrace making him nearly invisible to any person who might look out their window. The cloud coverage provided additional security, obscuring the glowing moon.
The clanging crash of metal trash cans falling rent through the air followed by a yowling hiss of the furry perpetrator.
Still, the lights within the house remained off.
