“What?” asked Tommy, and there was a hint of a smile there.
“Nothing. I just like you driving me,” said Buck.
And Buck could see that Tommy couldn’t help it, he smiled too; not quite the scrunchy kind, but that dimpled one he did.
The morning was young.
Buck could get his man to that scrunch nose smile.
“Oh, you like a chauffeur?” asked Tommy playfully.
“Only one as hot as you.”
And there was the scrunch.

Summary

His parents had decided they were done with his reckless behavior, Bobby and Athena were more obviously affectionate, and Chimney was determined to play matchmaker. Not to mention, apparently, the courts can't overturn an adoption that never happened, leading to an investigation into Buck's past.
