Hang on,” Simon reached to grab his phone, tapped around the screen and shoved the phone into Alec’s face, “See?”
“BrooklynBi, clever,” Alec pushed the phone out of his face, and stomped down on the nervous butterflies that had been erupting violently in his stomach all day, “Must be nice for people to talk to a person anonymously, it takes away the judgement.”
“Yeah it’s is,” Simon glanced at Alec from the corner of his eye, and pretended not to notice the hopeful yet weary gleam crossing his friends face.

“Where is the blue shirt I bought you, you know, the one that hasn’t faded.” Isabelle stood with her hands on her hips, surveying Alec’s wardrobe, rolling her eyes in dismay. She picked through each item, muttering to herself and throwing the clothes that didn’t meet her standards behind her.
“Izzy, I’m not going.” Alec heaved a heavy sigh. He appreciated his sister’s involvement in his life, he really did, but as he took in his clothes that were strewn around the floor, he started to think that maybe she was too involved.
Once again Isabelle ignored him, throwing a pair of black jeans at Alec’s head, cursing over her shoulder and ordering him to put them on.
“I love you Iz, but seriously I don’t really want to go.”
“Alec you’re graduating soon and you haven’t been to a single party in the past three years. Just this once please.”
Or the one where Izzy is determined to set Alec up with a charming guy from her History of Fashion Design class, but there’s too many hurdles to count standing in the way.

“How?” Magnus pulled away, gesturing wildly at Alec’s entire being, “Seriously how were you ever single?”
Alec eyebrows rose comically at that, balking as he tried to come up with an answer, “I don’t know, I just was?”
At that Magnus threw his hands in the air, sighing dramatically before flinging himself down onto one knee. Gently he took a hold of Alec’s hands, ignoring he startled and bewildered look that the man was giving him, “Well then, Alexander, my dear, my Love, will you be my Valentine? I promise to make it the best day ever and to spoil you rotten.”

The sequence of events goes something like this:

Lambert and Eskel stop in an inn for the night on their way to Kaer Morhen.

Lambert and Eskel meet the bard that their brother has been
talkinggrunting about for two decades and invite him to stay the winter with them. -
Lambert and Eskel bring him to an inhospitable keep for months of frigid winter.

Lambert and Eskel realize that the bard is -in fact- a human, not a witcher, and they have made a monumental miscalculation.
It’s fine, surely Geralt won’t care that much… Right? Right?
OR
In their excitement of getting to know the bard that so firmly caught their brother’s attention, Eskel and Lambert drag a fragile human to a frigid keep and have the rest of winter to figure out how to survive the cold and each other.
