Summary
Henry is a struggling writer living in Brooklyn and has just sold his first book. After years of hard work, everything is finally coming together. Everything except the family he’s always wanted. He decides it’s time to stop waiting around for the right person and goes to a fertility center to have a baby on his own.
Alex is a successful lawyer living in Manhattan who has barely slowed down long enough to take a deep breath since finishing law school, not even when he was diagnosed with cancer last year. He’s relieved to finally put it behind him and be cancer free, but that requires one more surgery that will leave him unable to have children. He decides to freeze a sample at a fertility center for the day he meets his special someone in the future.
A small mix up with huge consequences happens at the clinic, resulting in Henry being implanted with Alex’s sample. These two strangers are suddenly forced into getting a lot closer while they figure out how to navigate this bizarre situation, and maybe find the person they’ve both been waiting for in the process.

It’s spoken so casually, as if he doesn't currently look like an otherworldly, divine being, scantily clad and beautiful. Alex has never been more in love. Whenever he thinks he couldn't possibly fall for the man in front of him harder than he already has, he’s proven wrong, time and time again. For once, he doesn't want to be right.
“Morning,” Alex says, an easy, warm smile that’s still sleepy around the edges tugging at his lips.
