“Gareth,” Hyacinth scowled, her sharp gaze meeting his.
“Surprise to see you drinking,” He gestured to her cup. A fat lie. He always saw her at parties nursing a glass of something. “Thought you had a stick far enough up your ass that alcohol just couldn’t go down your throat.”
Hyacinth sharpened her glare, downing her entire cup without breaking eye contact. “I thought so too, but it turns out that seeing a walking dick is so revolting I need some kind of liquid to wash down the taste of vomit.” She punctuated her statement with a loud burp, which she blew right into Gareth’s face before turning around and filling her cup up again.
While such behavior would make any other man stop in shock and affront, perhaps call her a bitch or a whore or whatever profanity men used for women these days, Gareth was not any other man. Gareth was infuriating.

Summary
As much as Gray couldn’t stand being smothered in attention, Juvia loved it. Not the attention, per se, but the surety that everyone was there. She had guildmates to rely on, even if she never took the opportunity. That was evidenced by the fact that here she was, alone in her bed, curtains drawn while her friends partied it up in the guild hall.
It reminded her of how it was when she was young. The constant loneliness, how not one person truly loved her. She bounced around orphanages who didn’t want her, when the rain was just barely a mist on the hairs of her arms and her eyes took note of the smallest of details.
What a night to reflect, moonless and alone.

Higuchi sighed, reaching an arm over her head to fire a shot at the idiot trying to backstab her. “Alright..”
“And my heating pad is lukewarm.”
“You can microwave it again, darling. I got the reusable one, remember?” Akutagawa made brief eye contact with her from across the swarm of bodies, a disapproving glance tossed towards her phone.
“But the microwave is in the kitchen. I’m in the bedroom. That’s at least fourteen steps, ‘Guchi.”
