Riz Gukgak, without his knowledge of course, did wonderful and awful things to Fabian’s heart-- things that would have proved tenfold how wrong Coach Daybreak truly was. How could he possibly lack heart when he could feel it beating so fast when Riz let himself go absolutely bat shit insane. At first Fabian thought it nothing more than the excitement of battle, of seeing his friend let loose and just straight up murder someone, but when they fought Kalvaxus, it all came to a very clear head.

Yuichi laughs softly, reaching out to grab the end of Leo's deep red scarf. It's a good color on Leo. It's soft, and it matches his facial markings (which Yuichi would like to see more of, if he's being honest, he's only seen Leo maskless a handful of times). The look on Leo's face gets soft too all of a sudden, because Yuichi has slid into his bubble without really realizing it. It puts him close enough to see Leo's pupils dilate, swallowing the reddish brown of his irises, and the color rise in his face; the way he bites his lip to try and keep his smile at bay.
Yuichi's heart pounds his ribcage like it's trying to get out of him. He flips the tail of the scarf up over Leo's head, which both hides Leo's irresistible face and wins Yuichi a bright, playfully offended bark of laughter.
//First dates don’t always go as planned, but sometimes they do go as expected.

Leo waves frantically. The bunny stops and leans on his katana in the most effortlessly cool way ever.
“Sweet moves!” he says, in what he hopes is a similarly effortlessly cool way and not as suddenly out of breath as he feels. “I’m kind of a sword guy myself, so - kinda know what I’m talking about.” He taps the odachi slung over his shell and folds his arms over the railing, suddenly aware of the sweat gathering there. Has he been sweating this badly the whole time? Why is he just now realising how sweaty he is?
