Old thoughts shattered like glass, leaving space for new memories to be born in their place. Memories of a kitchen, of autumn leaves, of whispered assurances, and of a homemade dinner for two.

Your responses, of course, had been similarly pleasant and short. Truthfully, you don’t know why Kim writes to you at all, after what a tool you were when you worked together in Martinaise. It was as if you, all by yourself, had written the guide on “How to be the Biggest Conceivable Dick to Your Partner”. The summary: you had insulted, interrupted, and disobeyed him, taking advantage of every shred of Kim’s patience while you recovered from your attempt at thorough self-immolation. You whined endlessly about your personal troubles. You begged for money and drugs from random people. The coup de grace: you had, in addition to your zero tact, zero situational awareness, which, in the end, got Kim shot – along with yourself and six other people. You and Kim survived; the others weren’t quite so lucky.
(In all fairness, you, shaky and detoxing, were barely cognizant of the whole mess, and of whatever you and Kim had that might have approached friendship at points – but that’s really no excuse).
These days, it’s just hard to believe a full year had already passed.

There they must work in tandem with the Seolite police force to bring the missing woman home while the very fabric of both Elysium and their relationship shifts drastically around them.

Early on in his relationship with Mafuyu, his first relationship that involved real romance. Uenoyama's mind seemed to be hypersensitive to the other boy's very existence. Whenever he was in the same room, Uenoyama couldn't stop his eyes from following him, imprinting every tiny detail in his memory.
These moments kept replaying in his mind like a movie on loop whenever he closed his eyes (whether he liked it or not) making his skin tingle, as if his blood was about to boil inside his veins - he had never experienced something similar before.

A moment that has already been played out before, and the conclusion is just the same as it was years ago.
Zoro steps back, puts a good distance between them.
One man wears his heart on his sleeve, open and free, unafraid to let his wants be known; the other man has his tucked away, hidden and restrained, too afraid to be vulnerable despite what he feels.
