Summary
Leon Kennedy was dangerous for Chris. Everyone knew it. Chris could see the way Jill looked at him disapprovingly after catching him staring for a bit too long at the DSO agent. Claire’s warnings about how ‘you know I love Leon, but…’were burned into his brain. Not that he needed them to point out to him that his infatuation with the younger man was a bad idea. Leon was a shattered mess of trauma, distrust, booze, and sarcasm wrapped up in packaging so pretty it could talk you into enabling him with ease. Leon was an inferno. If Chris got too close, he knew he’d get burned. He’d remind himself that he didn’t want to get his heart broken, force himself to stop thinking about him, and move on with his day.
But then Leon would look at him with those blue eyes wet with unshed tears of frustration. He’d lean against Chris, too drunk to stand on his own. He’d come back from an assignment with his body broken and mind twisted in knots with a desperate need for someone to help him put the pieces back together.
Chris wanted to be that someone.

Summary
He comes back with gauze and disinfects the split skin on his knuckles. Flambae himself is hardly injured, aside from a few bruises Robert supposes he is going to wear proudly. He doesn't even sit next to him, he stands there in front of the couch, wrapping gauze around his hand with just enough care to stay on, but messy enough to show that he isn't doing this for him.
Robert sucks his lower lip between his teeth for a moment, but it's not enough to keep himself from stating what he had been thinking ever since Flambae rejoined the team. “You're still mad at me.”~Robert has an opportunity to spend some one-on-one time with Flambae. From then on, it spirals out of control.

Robert considered himself to be a man who made a reasonable amount of mistakes. He didn’t make them all the time, but he didn't avoid them all the time either. He'd been sure his whole life that saying the words “I'm Mecha Man” would be a mistake. He'd never expected to say it to a group, much less a group of ex-supervillains. Even so, here he was. The words left his lips numb, his heart skipping a beat even as he kept his expression level. And then the words were out, and he felt relief. A weight came off his chest until he looked to his left. To burning red eyes and a clenched jaw. The weight on his chest was gone, only to be replaced with a pit in his stomach as he realized in full how badly he'd fucked up.

Summary
In his sleep, Robert appears- for once in his life- like he’s not stressed to hell and back. The frown lines on his forehead are smooth and lax, and even the exhausted bruises that paint the skin below his eyes a sickly purple seem diminished in the soothing glow of Chad’s bedside lamp. He’s still scruffy and unfortunately clothed in that hideous uniform, but all that does is add to the reality of Robert being here, safe and comfortable in Chad’s bed.
Without even realizing he’s doing it, Chad reaches out and smooths his hand over the messy puff of Robert’s hair. The other man hums quietly and turns towards the warmth of his palm, and Chad flinches back like he’s somehow, impossibly, been burned. Robert’s face creases into that oh-so familiar frown as if Chad’s touch was wanted in the first place, and a spike of longing spears through him.

After a moment, brown eyes peeked from beneath long lashes, and the smaller of the two glanced at the other. "Preferably several times. In several positions."
It was truly a good thing that Flambae's place had long ago disabled any fire alarms that were set up in their complex. The only thing that Chad could do in the face of that admission and those eyes was cough out a lick of flame that burst out of his mouth and twirled upwards in a vague shape of a heart.
"I uh… I can do that."

Summary
Robert and Flambae have sexual tension that is incredibly dangerous for anyone who wants to flirt with Robert in front of the flame hero. Robert decides they should fight about it, but it quickly devolves into a different kind of workout on the mat, especially once Flambae realizes that Robert is a virgin. Being Mecha Man since he was 15 wasn't exactly conducive to Robert having time for a sex life OR a love life.

Robert is struggling now that he’s defeated Shroud, the last fifteen years had all lead to this, and now that its over, he not sure what to do. He should return as Mecha Man of course, that was what he had wanted wasn’t it? …Wasn’t it?
He's all but ready to push these thoughts away until a certain fiery hero begins ambushing his dreams, bringing all his problems to the surface.
Flambae’s eyes lit as his gaze roamed Robert's frame, sinking lower and lower until they finally rose back up to stare down his tired face. “Wow, you look like—shittier than usual today. What the fuck happened to you?”
Robert held out his hand, folding his fingers as he listed off points, “Dead phone, no alarm, oh, and an asshole shoved himself in my face as soon as I got to work.”
Flambae’s grimace shifted to a smirk at the shorter man’s words, “You know your…” He fingered the collar of Robert’s shirt, and he could swear the man's fingers were about to burn right through the thin fabric, the heat of them nearly searing his skin.

Robert considered dragging himself out of bed to try to kick Flambae out properly, and then decided it would probably backfire. His best strategy was to lay here, very still and quiet, and hope he was boring enough that Chad just left.
He dropped his head back onto the pillow and winced as even that small movement tweaked his neck brutally. Yep. Strategy. Staying on the bed was definitely….strategy.

Robert’s stomach was twisting with nerves. He was not one to do this, ever. Fuck, he doesn’t even remember the last time he brought someone home, much less a guy. He hadn’t messed around with other men since college, those were some wild years, let me tell you. But relationships were too complicated for Mecha-man and eventually it was just not worth the effort to try to bring someone home. Especially taking into consideration the state of his apartment as of late.
So, how did he end up in this situation?
“Fuck, keep going” a groan spills from Flambae’s mouth and it brings Robert back to the present. Ah, yes, the situation at hand, he ought to focus a little bit.
