“...Those are…” Eddie couldn’t find the words, gaze transfixed on the still-scarring wounds littering Steve’s torso.
Steve caught his eye, face dropping.
“Ugly, I know. They really took a chunk outta me, that’s for damn sure.” Steve’s voice was slightly bitter, laced with a sadness that caused Eddie to look up.
“You could never be ugly, Steve Harrington,” he whispered, lips curling into a small smile. Steve’s eyes widened as he stared at Eddie, taken aback by the comment. He could feel Eddie’s breath against his bare chest, just now realizing how close the two had gotten. His eyes jumped to Eddie’s lips, slightly agape, bitten raw and somewhat chapped–

Eddie is having trouble sleeping because of his nightmares. Steve tries to help, and gets more than he bargained for.
