When Karen finds herself with a stalker, she is determined to handle it alone and not involve Matt at all. For the sake of their complicated friendship. But when Matt finds out, he has other ideas. Because if there is one thing he knows, it's that he isn't about to let anyone harm Karen Page. As the threat to Karen's safety grows, they both struggle with their unspoken feelings for each other which get harder to ignore. And maybe, they don't actually want to ignore them anymore.

Summary
The first time Matt found joy in a large crowd, it happened by chance. The place they'd agreed to meet for brunch was packed, and although Matt cringed at the thought of enduring a long meal with 75 strangers buzzing around him, he didn't want to disappoint his friends. In the end, it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to him.
It was the little things: the way Karen touched his arm to get his attention before she spoke... how the side of her leg pressed along his as she leaned in to read him the menu... the way she snuck raspberries off his plate every time she thought his attention was elsewhere. It all added up to the most profound realization he'd ever had in his life: Matt wanted to spend the rest of his life loving Karen Page.
Even before Matt left the restaurant, he had a plan... All he could do was hope that she wanted the same things he did.
Or, five times Matt purposely went somewhere crowded with Karen, and two times he didn't.
