Summary
Brigid Mcallen is 19 when the world ends. She is bitter and lost. Ready to drink herself to death before, and even more determined now. No closure for friends and family. No light on the horizon. She wanders the outskirts of Atlanta alone, a bottle in one hand, hatchet in the other. It's when she accidentally becomes the protector of two children that she recognizes the need to shape up. It's just a matter of surviving long enough to do so.
Current arc: The prison.

Summary
You were from the well-liked Thorne family in District 7, and you were vaguely aware of your classmate, Billy Stebbins.
He seemed to have no friends, always keeping to himself, though he occasionally helped those who asked for help with errands and chores, yourself included. You rarely interacted. You were pretty sure he didn't even know your name.
That is, until you're both reaped for the 74th annual Hunger Games.

Summary
Pale, thin scars mark Gary’s arm from his wrist to halfway up his bicep. Some are in straight, almost neat lines, one right after the other, while some of them crisscross each other with a jagged ferocity. Overall, there’s more raised masses of tissue than unmarked skin. There’s no need to ask what caused them, and there’s no way Collie ever would. It’s obvious.
“Well?” Gary snaps, apparently thinking Collie’s been silent for too long. “Can you fix this or not?”
Or: Gary Barkovitch walks into Collie Parker's tattoo shop looking for a scar coverup, and ends up becoming much more than just a client.

Summary
There’s little bits of gravel in the scrape on Gary’s face. His fingers pick at the viciously stinging flesh under the stripped away layers of skin. If he moves a little to the right he could poke his eye. Get gravel and blood in there too. Or maybe just poke it right out.

Parker’s plan works and Gary is alive to see it.

Summary
The sixth time, Ray fills in the end of one of Pete’s jokes and Hank Olson says, “Do you two know each other?”
“Yeah,” Pete says, grinning at Ray, watching him flush. “We go way back.”
Or, the road doesn't want 50 people dead on it each year. This creates a great deal of trouble for the boys it decides can stop that.
