“I win.” Lance’s rapid breath hit his face, and that’s when Keith realized how close he was. He was close enough to see small freckles dotting across Lance’s cheeks, and to see his eyes taking him in. After a moment, he was just surprised Lance hadn’t pushed him away. “What were you down here for in the first place?”
Lance’s face was red—Keith presumed he was flushed from the workout. “Hunk made lunch, I thought you might be hungry. Plus, I hadn’t really seen you all day.”
And Keith was pissed that something in that sentence made his face fall of all cockiness, replaced with surprise. “Oh,” he said simply. Lance’s breath was finally evening out, but he still hadn’t shoved Keith off his waist.

When Sonic finds Shadow after crashing back onto the Earth, he thought his restless heart would finally relax. However, helping his family navigate through adding a new member to it who wants nothing to do with the concept was shaping up to be a bigger challenge than Sonic anticipated.
Despite this, Shadow sticks around. Just maybe, he would listen to Maria's words and make Earth his home. While struggling to get a hold of his fuzzy memories, the past comes back to haunt him.
