It was especially difficult to get out of bed today. The cold, and the memories. I guess I can be sentimental, too, and say that I miss the excuse of your dead weight on top of me when I wanted to sleep in, when the sun was already high in its arc in the sky, when my sister would bang on my locked door to tell us that breakfast was ready. That was the year our dads were away and you stayed over almost every night. A lot of things changed that year. To borrow your phrasing: surely you remember that too.
It's the late 1950s. Euijoo and Yixiang find each other in stolen moments, and then in letters.

Hongjoong went straight to the “MEN” tab on the website and clicked on it, having exhausted the limited options he had on the homepage. He looked around for a while, trying to find thumbnails that caught his attention long enough to click on it, but ended up moving from one stream to another with little success. He groaned in frustration, feeling enough arousal to keep looking but not enough to actually make him want to get off.
He was about to close the browser, having decided to just jerk off on his own so he could get some quick release and go to sleep, when a flash of pink caught his attention. A new thumbnail had appeared on top of the page. The image was pretty small, so all he could see clearly was a mop of fluffy pink hair and a beautiful smile.
He clicked on it before his brain could even process the information, almost dropping the phone on his face in his hurry.

Harua stood squarely in front of the door, one foot crossed over the other, clipboard pressed to his chest like a metaphorical chastity belt. His gunmetal-gray suit didn’t wrinkle. His matching tie didn’t dare. Even the ID clipped to his belt loop hung at a perfect angle, as if it had been ordered into position.
Taki approached with a black corduroy jacket slung over attitude and a pen behind one ear. In one hand: an iced oat milk macchiato sweating through its paper sleeve. In the other: a dog-eared folder labeled DAIRY DECEPTION in aggressive red Sharpie. His lanyard was backwards.
“Hey, Big Milk. You’re blocking the door.”
“I’m filtering the nonsense,” Harua replied, unmoving. He gave the macchiato a brief glance of disgust. “Which includes you and whatever nut water you’re sipping, heathen.”
“Oat milk isn’t nut water, fascist.” Taki took a loud, deliberate slurp, eyes locked on his target. “Delicious, actually. And cruelty-free.”
[Wherein two legislative aides stir up bipartisan tension, spill some secrets, and discover milk isn’t the only thing getting steamed in committee.]

She gives him a non-impressed look and he smiles.‘Cicero dropped it off as a present for the opening,’ he laughs and she laughs too.
‘Please don’t let Richie use it,’ she says, finishing her cup.
‘It’s hidden in my office. Just for you and me,’ he whispers, emphasizing this huge secret between them and she enjoys how close he leans in.
